The city of Nikko contains a forest belt centering on the Nikko National Park, and is the site of the sources of five rivers - the Ojika, Yunishi, Kinu, Daiya and Watarase. The Imaichi alluvial fan created by the deposit of earth and sand by the Daiya River contains rich underground water resources. This blessed water environment has created the varied waterscapes that Nikko boasts, and provides us with delicious water every day. Conservation of this wonderful natural resource and conveying the appeal and the preciousness of it to future generations, these are our aspirations.
